How to use SSL Certificate Checker
Enter a hostname. The server opens a TLS connection and reads the peer certificate.
Understanding the results
Subject, issuer and validity dates help confirm which certificate the host presents publicly.
Limitations
- Requires a reachable HTTPS/TLS endpoint.
- Certificate chains can differ by SNI, CDN edge or intermediate configuration.
Privacy note
Only the hostname you enter is used to open the TLS session.
Frequently asked questions
What does certificate expiry mean?
Expiry is the date after which clients should no longer trust the certificate as currently valid.
Can I check a hostname without HTTPS?
The checker needs a TLS endpoint. Plain HTTP-only hosts will not return a certificate.
Why can certificate chains differ?
CDNs, load balancers and intermediates can present different chains for the same hostname.
